Entry, prices and rules to know
- Price: about 10 to 30 EUR, lower in presale (15 to 25 EUR), higher at the door (25 to 30 EUR); big nights at Shelter and Radion sell out online in advance.
- Age and ID: 18 minimum in general, ID is checked systematically.
- Door: techno clubs choose their crowd; arriving in a small, calm, sober group with simple clothes is the accepted way. The doorman decides and does not have to explain.
- Photos: at some nights phone cameras are covered with a sticker; respect it.
- Hours: most clubs close between 4:00 and 5:00; Radion is the exception.
- Getting home: night transport and taxis, see getting home at night in Amsterdam. Alcohol and cannabis in the street: rules.
Gentler alternatives
For a night without a queue, pick a concert at Paradiso or Melkweg, a bar on Rembrandtplein or Leidseplein, or the general guides going out in Amsterdam and Amsterdam at night. If you prefer a guide, a pub crawl gets you in as a group without a queue.
What is uncertain
We did not check prices and dress on each club's official site, and programmes change: the figures above come from guides, confirm before going out.
