Hours and season
The zoo opens 9:00 to 18:00 until 31 October, then 9:00 to 17:00 from 1 November to 28 February. Micropia and the Groote Museum open 10:00 to 17:00 (the Groote Museum until 22:00 on Thursday).
With children
Allow half a day for the zoo alone, a full day with a museum. You can bring your own picnic. In rain, the planetarium and museums give several hours under cover, and Micropia suits children of about 8 and over. For more outings see Amsterdam with children.
