What the ticket includes

The ticket gives access to the exhibition across seven levels, which you walk from the top down after a lift ride, with the InBody scan of about one minute. The bodies come from a body donation programme; the subject is happiness and health. Hours read in October 2026: every day from 10am to 10pm, last entry 9pm. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours. Online tickets can be cancelled free of charge up to 8 hours before the time slot. Details are on our Body Worlds page.

Tiqets or the official website?

We could not read the price on the Tiqets listing: it appears at booking. Compare it with the official €22.50 before paying, and check the time slot and the cancellation terms. The I amsterdam City Card is accepted at the entrance, the Museumkaart is not. No ticket gives access without a slot: book online, it is cheaper than at the desk.

Is a guided tour worth it?

No: an audio guide is available in French, Dutch, English, German, Spanish and Italian. The real question is elsewhere: the exhibition shows real human bodies, which does not suit everyone. The museum recommends the visit from age 6 and advises preparing children for what they will see. If you hesitate, look at what to do in Amsterdam when it rains instead.

Pitfalls

  • The subject. These are real plastinated bodies: find out about the content before taking children or sensitive visitors.
  • The rules. Photos are allowed; eating, drinking and touching the specimens are not.
  • Accessibility. Pushchairs are allowed and a lift serves the route, except part of the basement.
  • The crowds. The evening, between 7pm and 9pm, is quieter.

Which option should you choose?

  • A rainy day or an evening: the online ticket for an evening slot.
  • A tight budget: compare prices before paying.
  • A family with a teenager: from age 6, preparing the visit.
