Albert Cuyp market and De Pijp food tour
This is the one to remember if you want to "taste everything" without organising several outings. The food tour mixes breakfast at the market, a gouda and ham stop in De Pijp and a stroopwafel workshop. The group is limited to 8 people. It starts at €80 per person and is rated 4.9 out of 5, but on only 4 reviews (October 2026): a thin sample. To prepare for the market visit, read Albert Cuyp or Noordermarkt.
Stroopwafel workshop on its own
The 45-minute workshop teaches you to bake the dough, split it and fill it with caramel syrup, then you eat the result. The headline price is €19.60 per person, with a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from over 5,000 reviews (October 2026). Other resellers show $28 to $31 for similar workshops, including one near the Anne Frank House. Times and location change from one listing to another: check the meeting point. It is the format best suited to children (see Amsterdam with kids). For stroopwafels and other treats, see our sweet specialities.
Cheese tasting
The Old Amsterdam tasting, at 62 Damrak, lasts 45 minutes: five goudas, three wines chosen by a sommelier and a 10% discount in the shop, according to the listings. We did not find it on GetYourGuide: it is sold by other resellers, between €19.99 and about $24. Minors do not drink wine, but reduced rates exist with some resellers. To understand the cheeses before tasting, read Dutch cheeses or visit the cheese museum.

Going further: Zaanse Schans and Volendam
If you have half a day, the cheese tour to Zaanse Schans and the cheese and clog workshop in Volendam take you out of the city. Starting prices: €16.88 for Zaanse Schans (4.4 out of 5, over 5,000 reviews) and €123 for Volendam (4.8 out of 5, 21 reviews).
