Banksy Museum Amsterdam: Tickets, Opening Hours and Review

Updated on October 15, 2026

The Banksy Museum in Amsterdam is a private museum near the Westerpark, at Van Slingelandtplein 8, west of the city centre. It shows more than 160 works by the British street artist Banksy, including many life-size reconstructions of his murals, in settings that recall the street. A visit takes about an hour and a half. An adult ticket starts at €14.45 on the museum's website. It is not the same place as the Moco Museum on the Museumplein, which shows only a few Banksy works among other artists.

Highlights

The Westerpark

The Westerpark

The museum sits away from the centre, next to the Westerpark, a large neighbourhood park with lawns, ponds and café terraces. You can combine the visit with a walk or a coffee break in the park.

A green neighbourhood

A green neighbourhood

The Westerpark is a residential, leafy district, far from the queues at the big museums on the Museumplein and easy to reach by tram.

"Girl with Balloon", "Flower Thrower" and "Laugh Now"

Among Banksy's best-known works on show: the little girl with her red balloon, the flower thrower and the monkeys with placards.

Reconstructions of murals

Most pieces are life-size reconstructions of works seen on city walls, presented in a street-like setting.

The artist's themes

The route deals with consumerism, climate, social inequality and war, recurring subjects in Banksy's work.

Banksy Museum or Moco?

The Banksy Museum is devoted to a single artist, with more than 160 works; the Moco Museum, on the Museumplein, mixes a few Banksys with Warhol, Basquiat, Kusama and digital art. To see mostly Banksy, choose this one; for a panorama of contemporary art, pick the Moco.
