The IJ-Hallen host a flea market on certain weekends in the former halls of the NDSM shipyard in Amsterdam-Noord, at NDSM-Plein 1. The organiser presents it as the largest flea market in Europe: according to its calendar, 600 stands in October and November 2026, then 500 from December. Private sellers and traders offer clothes, home decor, furniture and bric-a-brac, from 9:00 to 16:30 on Saturday and Sunday. You get there from Central Station on the free F4 ferry, then a five-minute walk.
Highlights

The shipyard halls
The market takes its name from the huge halls it occupies on NDSM-Plein, relics of the former NDSM shipyard. All dates published up to March 2027 are indoor markets, sheltered from the rain.

Early access
The €11 "early bird" ticket lets you in from 6:00, three hours before general opening at 9:00. This is the slot for seasoned bargain hunters and resellers, who arrive while the stands are being set up.

The industrial setting
Steel beams, walkways and crane cabins recall the site's past. The organiser warns that the shipyard grounds and the floor of the halls are not level everywhere: watch your step and wear comfortable shoes.
The published dates
In 2026: 10 and 11 October, 31 October and 1 November, 12 and 13 December. In 2027: 9 and 10 January, 23 and 24 January, 6 and 7 February, 20 and 21 February, 6 and 7 March. Each time from 9:00 to 16:30, indoors.
The combined ticket with the STRAAT Museum
The ticketing site offers an IJ-Hallen + STRAAT Museum ticket at €21.50 instead of €28. The street art museum stands on the same NDSM-Plein, a few steps from the halls.
Selling yourself
A standard stand of 4 m by 1.10 m costs €36 per day, a corner stand €42. Bookings are made online only, up to two markets ahead, and you can book just one day.
