STRAAT: Amsterdam's Street Art Museum in Noord, Tickets and Getting There
STRAAT is Amsterdam's museum of street art and graffiti. It fills a former 8,000 m² hangar of the NDSM shipyard at NDSM-Plein 1, on the north bank of the IJ, and shows more than 160 works by over 150 artists from around the world, many of them huge. The collection keeps growing, and you may even catch an artist painting on site. You get there on the free ferry from Central Station, which makes the visit a small excursion in itself. Information checked in October 2026 on the museum's website and the city tourist board's site; confirm prices when you book.
Highlights

The hangar and its giant walls
The industrial hall makes room for murals that climb up to the ceiling, installations and very large canvases. You walk through at your own pace: allow about two hours to see everything without rushing.

Artists from every continent
The collection brings together established names and young graffiti and street-art talents. Works change and new ones are added over the years, so a recent visit won't look like the last.
Weekend guided tours
They run on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30, 13:30 and 15:00, last one hour and cost €10 per person.

The NDSM around the museum
The shipyard site is itself covered in murals, with the Faralda crane, waterside restaurants and, on some weekends, the flea market. See our neighbourhood page: NDSM Amsterdam-Noord.
