What the ticket includes

The ticket gives access to the open-air platform and the glazed room on the 20th and 21st floors, with views over the centre, the port and the polders. The official site gives opening as 10am to 10pm, last entry 9pm. In October we noted: child aged 4 to 12 from €10.50 online, family ticket from €31, Lookout, swing and virtual reality combo at €29.50 online. The swing is not recommended for people with heart conditions, high blood pressure, pregnant women or anyone afraid of heights. Details are on our A'DAM Lookout page.

Tiqets or GetYourGuide?

The "entry with 1 drink" offer exists at both Tiqets and GetYourGuide. We could not read the price on the Tiqets listing: it depends on the date. Compare it with the official €16.50 (the drink is paid separately) and with the GetYourGuide listing before choosing. The ticket with a drink is only worth it if you planned to have a drink at the top.

Is a combo worth it?

The combo with the swing is better value than adding the supplement on site (€8.50). For sunset, book a late-afternoon slot in clear weather. The EYE museum is next door: a good half-day plan.

Pitfalls

  • The wind. The open-air platform is exposed: bring a jacket.
  • The swing. Come in daylight if you want the souvenir photos and video.
  • Payment. The desk accepts cards only.
  • The journey. The free F3 ferry leaves from behind Central Station, 24 hours a day, about every five minutes.

Which option should you choose?

  • A panoramic view: the simple online ticket.
  • A sunset: the ticket with a drink, in the late afternoon.
  • Thrills: the ticket with the swing.
