Madame Tussauds Amsterdam Tickets: Online Prices and Which Ticket to Pick

What the ticket includes

The ticket opens the wax figure rooms at Dam 20: the Dutch royal family, stars, DJs, athletes, painters and Marvel superheroes. The online ticket includes a time slot, and the site guarantees a free date change if your plans shift. In October we also noted an "Anytime" ticket at €29 valid at any hour on the booked day, and 25% off the door price with the Museumkaart. Hours change daily: check the official website. Tiqets or the official website?

We could not read the price on the Tiqets listing: it depends on the date and appears at booking. The official site already shows the best online rate (€19), so the Tiqets ticket is worth it only if it is cheaper on your date or you want to group your bookings. Check the time slot and the cancellation terms. For a guided look at the centre around the Dam, a walking tour says more than a second museum.

Is a combo worth it?

The combo with the Amsterdam Dungeon starts at €29 against €52 separately: it is the best value, detailed on the Amsterdam Dungeon tickets page. The cruise combo (€37 against €45) saves little and requires booking the cruise in advance.

Pitfalls

• The time slot. The booked time is when you join the queue, not your exact entry time.
• Luggage. Suitcases and large bags cannot be left on site.
• Children. Figures can be touched and photographed, but the stairs and the lift complicate pushchairs.
• The figures. Some may be missing while in maintenance.

Which option should you choose?

• One museum only: the Online Saver, booked at least the day before.
• Two attractions in a day: the Dungeon combo.
• Cheaper, in the evening: the Late ticket from 5pm.
