What the ticket includes
The ticket gives access to the permanent collection (Malevich, Mondrian, Rietveld, Appel, Warhol, design and posters) and the current exhibitions. Until 17 January 2027 the museum devotes a major exhibition to Yayoi Kusama; "Some Wild Kind of Language", on the painting of Adam Pendleton, runs from 10 October 2026 to 17 January 2027. The ticket is valid all day: you can enter between 10am and 5:45pm. Details are on our Stedelijk Museum page.
Tiqets or the official website?
We could not read the price on the Tiqets listing: it appears at booking. Compare it with the official €22.50. The museum advises booking online, even a free ticket, to skip the queue. For the Kusama exhibition, entry is timed and sold on the official site according to a 2026 guide: check this before choosing a reseller.
Is there a late Thursday opening?
The museum's visit page mentions Thursday evening, but we could not read its content, and the sources read on 30 October 2026 give fixed hours of 10am to 6pm every day with no confirmed late opening. Do not count on it: check the official site before you go.
Pitfalls
- The queue. Book online, even for free entry.
- Weekends. During the Kusama exhibition, aim for the morning.
- The Museumkaart. It gives free entry but does not replace booking.
- The supplement. Some guides mention a supplement for large temporary exhibitions: read the listing.
Which option should you choose?
- A simple ticket: the official site, from 10am on a weekday.
- Museumkaart or under 19: a free ticket booked online.
- A rainy day: combine it with the Moco and the Rijksmuseum.
