Tram and ferry: where to get off

Tickets, hours and the airport

1-hour ticket: 3.40 EUR. 24-hour pass: 10.00 EUR; 48 hours: 16.00 EUR; 72 hours: 21.50 EUR. Pay-per-trip with OVpay (contactless card) costs 1.16 EUR plus 0.217 EUR per kilometre: always tap in and out. Metro and trams run roughly from 06:00 to half past midnight, then night buses take over. The metro does not go to Schiphol: take the train from Centraal, see Schiphol airport and the centre.

Works and changes

GVB suspended metro line 50 this summer (4 July to 16 August 2026) for works. A press article reports that lines 50 and 53 will merge from December 2027: not confirmed by GVB. We found no announced closure for November 2026; check gvb.nl the day before.
